Monday 20th March 2017 saw the return match between WBro Barry Fisher PPrGMO and Bro Frank Laird at Bryn Masonic Hall.
Installing Master  Barry Fisher; Frank Laird Worshipful Master
Back in January, Bro Laird had installed WBro Fisher into the chair of Willows (craft) Lodge No 5343 now it was WBro Fisher’s turn to install Bro Laird into the chair of  Newton Lodge of Mark Master Masons No1003. Representing the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master at the Installation Meeting was VWBro Paul Snape PGJO.

Once the lodge had been opened and the business of the lodge complete including salutations to VWBro Ian Nairn APGM who is a member of Newton Lodge.  VWBro Snape and attending Grand and Acting Provincial Grand Officers paraded in to be greeted by the Worshipful Master and salutations given.

Then WBro Frank Cooke PGJD took the Senior Wardens Chair and WBro Alan Fairhurst Prov GJW took Junior Wardens chair for the installation.  WBro Ian Welsh PPrGJD remained at his place as Inner Guard.

Now all was set for the ceremony of installation which WBro Fisher carried out with his usual panache.  An excellent explanation of the Working Tools was delivered by Bro Jeffrey Burns.  The lodge Director of Ceremonies WBro Alan Brown PPrGSD(des) presented the Keystone Jewel address to the WM.

WBro Alan Fairhurst PrGJW gave the Wardens address and WBro Arthur Robinson PPrGSW & PrDepGDC delivered the address to Overseers.  VWBro Paul Snape step forward and gave a faultless address to the Brethren.

The whole ceremony was first class, which was pointed out by VWBro Snape when he brought the congratulations of the PGM to the Worshipful Master, Bro Frank Laird and also to the Installing Master WBro Barry Fisher for an enjoyable ceremony.

It was then the turn of the WM to present VWBro Snape with a couple of cheques for Charity.  A fine festive board was enjoyed by all, which is always the case at Bryn. In his reply to the toast to Grand Officers VWBro Snape recommended to all brethren who are attending Provincial Grand Lodge at Southport on 3rd May to take advantage of free testing for Prostate Cancer which will be taking place at the meeting. (It is just a blood test and a bit of paperwork.)
